Open the file that you downloaded, there should be a "Read Me" file in it that has a list of commands and "How To's"

I've found one at a local pawn shop. I've played with it some, put my SIM in it, made a few test calls and everything seems to work. It's in allmost perfect condition(a few scuffs on the backside) Everything is in the box, plus a very nice Leather Wallet/Case(slots for creditcards, etc) $200.00 out the door. Guy says he's had it a few months (The pawner was supposed to come back and get it, but never did) and originally was asking $275.00.

I'm really interested in it for the GPS.

Opinions? Thanks in advance.

I was at BestBuy today, and they had plenty. I checked to see if they were the 1.30 version and they were. The salesman said they were still selling well.
Latest price: $199.99 with 2yr contract.

I've had my x220 since October, and so far the ONLY way I've found to put J2ME games on it is via WAP. So far every Vxxx series games I've tried works great.

God Luck.

Cingular one is just as nice or nicer and less expensive.  I believe this is exclusive to Best Buy

I called CXBM earlier today and the guy said that the Product Advisery was for .325 and that .342 or better units would be shipped out.  When I said I expect the 1.30, the person I spoke to said to call back right away if they send the wrong one.

I'll do just that if I don't get the 1.30 version.

But has anyone called and recieved the wrong version?
So far I haven't read about anyone recieving anything but 1.30 from XBM, I'm pretty sure you are safe, but there is a first time for everything.

Good Luck

Just got mine with (F/W 1.30), about an hour ago. There is a night and day difference. NORMAL profile is as loud as the OUTDOOR profile was on the other phone. I haven't played with the camera much yet, but I did check out the video camera; on the other phone it was practically useless. On this one, it's actually fun to play around with. More updated to come as I get to play around with it some more.

I just called Cingular XBM (1-800-801-1101) the whole thing took less than 5 minutes. The rep looked up the phone, verified that there is a "Product Advisery" on it, then took my IMEI and the checked the ROM version. He then took my physical address and asked what type of shipping I wanted. I took the $7.50 overnight, and since tomorrow is a holiday, and I called too late for it to be shipped today, it will be shipped Friday via FedX

He also appologized at least two times for me having to deal with problem phone and said that they were doing everything possible to get the phones replaced.

Overall I couldn't ask for a better C/S experience. biggrin.gif

If this phone is locked. This will mark thee first occurence of a locked world phone from Cingular. I sincerely hope that this is not a new policy and that something is wrong with that set of phones.

Unfortunately, I'm afraid it might be true. I've read in a couple different posts on HowardForums that Cingular is about to start locking ALL their tri/quad band phones.

My point was compared to other cameras, or just the idea that a camera should probably be able to take a recognizable photo, the 220 comes up short

Don't you think, the above statement is just alittle extreme?! I'm assuming you mean compared to other "cameraphones" cause cameraphones aren't meant to compete with or replace fullfledged megapixal digicams Personally I didn't buy a Smartphone for the camera (I would have bought it without one at all), I have a SONY 3+MP digicam for that, but I like the fact that it does have a camera, just in case I do want it. I would have been happy with a VGA(640x480) cam, but MOTOROLA had "only" put that in it, they would caught flack for that, just like Audiovox(HTC) is with the SMT5600/C500. Anyway here are a few "Unrecognizable" pix taken with the 220 on various settings.

Taken on "Flourescent"

Taken on "Automatic" from moving vehicle:

Couple of 1.3mp shots:

True, it doesn't compare to my Digicam, but I honestly didn't/don't expect it to, but they are hardly "Unrecognizable" The MPx220 is phone/pda first, camera/gameboy second. I bought it for the first reasons, and I'm happy with it. biggrin.gif

I installed the task manager and system info programs that came with the 200

Are these available anywhere online for download? Keep reading about people using the "Task Manager" it sounds pretty useful.

Thanks

I allways prefer a holster to the leather cases but there doesn't appear to be any notches, etc to facilate using a holster on the x220. I'm using a pouch style case right now and it does the job well, except that it muffles the speaker somewhat. I believe I'm gonna drop by BestBuy and pick up one of the leather cases pictured in the othe post.
