Newsfactor and others are reporting problems with the new Windows XP update SP3. The problems with SP3 seem to especially affect systems with AMD chips, and a blogger says Hewlett-Packard (HP) systems are especially affected. News reports have Microsoft blaming computer makers for the SP3 problems."

He mentioned that his system has an Athlon chip from Advanced Micro Devices, and other users have reported similar problems with SP3 on AMD machines."
