I've noticed that since I configure my 8125 to connect to my @comcast.net mailbox to download mail, the login process would take up to 1 to 1.5 minutes at times. Unfortunately this is related to their SSL configuration and my 8125 wants to try SSL first which doesn't work so it has to timeout, hense the 1 minute delay.

I put in this registry entry, and it no longer tries SSL, so the login process occurs in under 3 seconds now. Just wanted to share this with anyone who has a @comcast.net account as well.

(1) Locate this registry key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox
(2) Create a new DWORD called "ForceOffSSL" (without the quotes) and give it a value of 1.
(3) Press and Hold the power off button to soft reset the 8125.
(4) Power up and you're all done.

Interesting. I've noticed that about a month after I got my 8125 connecting, logging on, on my gmail and roadrunner email accounts take about a mintue or so but in the past as long as I was connected it connect right away. The same thing happens with my pocket IE.

I also have gotten this to work... But it begs the question... was the delay due to a timeout of a non-functional SSL session defaulting back to open clear text passing pop3, or was the delay part of the key exchange for the ssl, and we just prevented the encryption from taking place and forced it into clear open text pop3?
