Hey guys i don't know if you can help me, but i'm trying to synchronize my phone with my pc, and can't get it done, i tried everything, i used to have an mpx220, but i had to exchange it because it got damage, and the new one, came locked, but i can't get it conected with my computer, when i conect it, it only charges the battery, but that's it, it can't get synchronize, i tried everything, i remove the battery and plug it, to see if windows detects it, and i get nothing, and it says it has a problem detecting the new hardware,

if anybody can help me, or give the drivers so i can do it manually i appreciate it, i think the problem is with the drivers, because when i conect it to the computer it shows me as if it was charging the battery.., but activesync can't detect it, because the main drivers are not installed..

PLZ help, thanks in advance

If you have Activesync installed on your PC, you have the drivers necessary. I've had that problem with a MPx220 before, and it ended up being a hardware issue where the connector on the phone wasn't making a solid connection with the cable, causing the PC to have a problem detecting the phone. Try wiggling the cable around some and see if you can create a connection. If that works, you may have a hardware issue with the connector.

I have a new mpx220 that I flashed the Rom from 128 to 149 and it has synced to my PC but mpt 4 says it can not find the device.

Thanks for sharing all the info.

Did MPT work before you flashed the ROM? My understanding was that it doesn't work with the MPx220 because the MPx220 uses Activesync, and thus doesn't need MPT. Are you using Activesync?

I just got the phone yesterday and updated the Rom today.
Activesync works fine. MPT said it could not find device but using media studio in it, my phone when turned on showed this on the screen,
OMP Loader V 3.220
Build time: Dec 20 2004
Uart Download Mode 1.1

Ready

I could not turn off or anything so I removed the battery and then put back and turned on. Appears to be fine.
I had downloaded a theme generator to use, but turned out to be a 2002 which was not accepted by the 2003SE mobile.
As you can tell I am a novice at this. My son gave me some advise on the correct way to flash the Rom.

So if I become a pain you know where, thank you for your help.

Like I posted above, I don't think MPT works with the MPx220 because of it's Activesync/Outlook ability. I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do with MPT, but it should all be do-able (and indeed easier) with Activesync using Outlook.
