I'm out in amherst MA and i havn't been able to connect in over a week. The last time I connected ironically was right before I bought the 4.99 data plan. Re-booting doesn't help so maybe I have a differnt problem, or maybe they are updating the systems out here.

How does this work as far as the data plans go?

Will this be charged the standard 3 cents a kb if you don't have a data plan?

And would the 24.95 a month media net unlimited plan allow you unlimited connection?

Or does this fall under some other plan?

I'm talking about cingular plans by the way.

My usb cable crapped out so I got a bluetooth adaptor to connect activesync.

I'm wondering if there is a way to automatically connect when I i'm near the computer. The way things are now I have to be in range and then go to activesync on my phone and click connect via bluetooth.

Is there any way to make this happen automatically?

Also is there any good way go get outlook to open (if its not already) when activesync connects?

I tried it after reading this forum and it worked great. My regular screename has about 200 buddies and was close to 100k transfer when I signed on. I made a new screename with no buddies and its only around 3k to sign on and not much more for messages.

One think I havn't figured out is how you recieve a message from a buddy not on your list. The phone vibrates but I don't know how to get the message.

I'm confused by the fact that cingular offers the media works package for 20 a month which includes unlimited internet express. Yet it also has data plans available which start at $30.

Whats the difference between Mobile Internet Express and the data plan. Can you use the phone as a laptop modem with the Media Works package?
