a couple of people have posted annoyances that I thnk can be handled.

Undude: after completing a call, Remember that you can just start typing the name, without even having to access the contacts list.

Undude--, if you are using facade for your home screen, there is a short cut on the MRU list that allows you to do the soft reset

QUOTE (abatis @ Aug 4 2005, 07:08 AM)
Sometimes it annoys me how long either my phone or PPC take to boot the OS. This happens either on a reset or just turning the phone back on. I just want instant gratification.

Interesting - how exactly do you "quit" applications that are running? I thought they quit when I return to the home screen, but I guess not. I probably had media player running for a week! Forgive my ignorance....is there an actual "quit" command?

Thanks.

I am having the same problem. It happens from time to time. I can go and kill other applications that are running and then everything is good...

QUOTE (sundevil67 @ Jun 8 2005, 11:03 AM)
More often than not, when I try to snap a picture, I get an out of memory error, like there isn't enough room on the device to store a photo. This is impossible since I barely have any data stored on the device, and there is plenty of space left. Sometimes if I reboot the phone, the problem goes away, but only temporarily. Is this some kind of bug that has a solution?

Thanks.

That would be one way to go about it, but they will have to send you a Cingular SIM card.  You would be better off just going into a Cingular Company Store (not mall kiosk), and doing everything there if there is one near by.

they give the free phone, but it is after rebate, which normally comes about 16 years later!!

Just hoping I don't ahv eto spend 50 bucks for a phone i'll never use

i had one of these, and against my better judgement, took it back because i felt i ahd spent too much for a phone, and now do i miss it. Wondering if anyone would be up for a trade? I have a 3 month old Crative Nomad Zen Xtra, the 40 g one with all the accesories that i would offer up in return. If interested, please either email me at kenailes@mchsi or im me on msn at the same address

Just upgraded to the Audiovox today and am selling my mpx200 and all the goodies. Here is what you'll get:

the phone
headset
Cradle and cable
Wall Charger

In addition, I'm throwing in:
256 mb SD Card (normally 30-40 bucks)
SD Card Reader (20 bucks)
Stereo Headphones modded with Koss Plugs for better sound (20 bucks for the koss plugs)
Body Glove Case (on sale for 20 bucks)
Car charger (25 bucks on motorola's web site)

That's over $100 worth of accessories for the phone. I'm asking $175 for the whole getup. I think with the card reader, sd card, case and car charger its a pretty good deal. Post here or email kenailes@mchsi.com if interested

my buddy actually did this, but he didn't realize until he won the auction that he paid over $200 for a link to a website where you pay another $40 for one of those antennas that doesn't work. once you buy the antenna, your name goes on a list where you get to pick whether you want one of a bunch of different phones, ipods, etc. I'll let you know if he actually gets it or not

i was in northern MN in September, and was without service for a large part of the trip. In the cities, its great, and if I go down to Mankato, I have coverage all the way. of course, in my own driveway, i getr absolutley horrible coverage, so go figure

don't know if anyone has had this problem(probably not since it didn't start happening until after by 18 month old threw my phone in the toilet) but I have lost the use of my right direction key. I can't use it at all. since I flashed my phone to 2003, I had essentially voided the warranty on my phone, correct? anyone ever had to break into this thing? is there anything i could do if I did get into it?

I lost the set of stereo headphones that came with the phone, so we nt to radio shack and bought an adaptor to go from the 2.5 mm jack to a standard 3.5 mm jack. when i plug this adaptor in and plug the headset in, I only get sound out of one ear. if I unplug the jack about halfway, then I get sound in both ears. rotating the jack when its plugged in all the way has no bearing. is there a possibility my jack is bad, or is it more likely something to do with the plug?
