What do you think of the thumb-wheel on the Blackjack?

To me it's not nearly as nice as on the RIM devices I've tried. Or maybe my Blackjack has a problem - it just isn't as smooth as it needs to be. And it seems to need a lot of "spinning" for relatively little movement...

What do other Blackjack owner s think of its thumb-wheel?

I like that it has a "firm" feel but agree that it doesn't seem to move as quickly down a page as one would want. I almost always use the navigation wheel on the front of the phone as it seems much faster and easier to navagate with.

If you do a long-press of the thumbwheel, a little utility pops up to allows you to scroll between some applications. You can configure this to show the applications you want in this rotation.

MGN contributor dpodo tells us how: "One of the choices is 'EDIT'. Select this option to add/delete apps, change the order, or configure list/icon view."

Nice. Thank you dpodo!

I think it works well enough, but I definitely find myself holding the down arrow to scroll through large pagers rather than using the wheel.

I'm a total noob to smartphones here. The wheel doesn't scroll the page like a mouse wheel like I originally just assumed it would. It goes click by click from link to link so the only way I could see improving on it would be to make the clicks a bit closer together so you can go through more links on one scroll. If there are no links then it just reverts to normal scrolling.

I don't like the feel of the wheel when you push it in to select something. I slip on it and scroll up or down a notch when I try to click some times and I would doubt that I'm the only one with the issue.
