_ Motorola Q _ ActiveSync and MS Exchange issues

Posted by: justpixel

I have this wonderful device and have my POP mail (GMAIL) setup and coming in every 15 minutes or so. I would like to get mail sooner than 15mins if possible, like on my Blackberry if anyone knows how to do this???

My major problem right now is I cannot get activesync to work with my MS Exchange Server. Our server is running Exchange 2003 SP2 and we have a Security Cert loaded on the server. Based on everything I've read I have all the pre-req software to make this work..

I get an ActiveSync Error "The security certificate on the server is invalid. Contact your system administrator or ISP to install a valid certificate on the server and try again.
Support Code: 0x80072F0D"

Any help would be appreciated.

You need a legit Certificate from your Exchange server.

There's also a new version of AS out (4.2) that's supposed to deal with Network issues. I haven't tried it because I don't have an exchange server, but in case it might help....

The new AS version is for you PC. It does help with some networking problems using Activesync on a PC, but doesn't effect Exchange at all. Sorry I can't really help with the certificate problem, the server I sync with works without having to mess with certificates.
