I haven't had time to check the forums as often as I'd like, so I have this question....

Can someone make sure we subscribers get the news as soon as WM2003 upgrade is officially available for our mpx200s?

i saw someone on ebay selling wm2003 mpx200 phones.i emailed him and he did say if i sent him my phone he would update it to 2003 for 50.00 usd.here is his listing (look in history and you can see how many phones he has sold with wm2003. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64355&item=5704534386&rd=1

I wonder if this greedy person would sell the image. It would be worth it to get a pool of money and buy the image, then leak it for everyone to enjoy.

A member over at Modaco asked me for the user ID of this guy so he could try to purchase it from him. He said he would keep me updated.

I wish I knew what you did Sean. I will take your advice and wait, you seem pretty sure. When it does get leaked, I bet this guy wishes he would have sold it.

I think by selling it you are running a greater risk than by giving it out. Selling would draw more attention and it would illegally profiting from other companies, freely giving away is just a form of piracy and at least not violating any copyrights. He prob won't give it up because if everyone can get to it, then no one will buy his phones...

Hey guys, does 2003 sync Outlook notes with Activesync, or do we still need 3rd party software?

BTW-I've been searching "out there" and have not found it yet.

He bought a phone with 2003 flashed on ebay, not the ROM. Up to this point, nobody has figured out how to grab a ROM image from a phone.

As Smeg indicates there is no way known to any of us here to extract the ROM. It is an ATT 2003 ROM with the build date of Dec, 29, 2003. It really has no super capabilities over 2002. It does run Fonix VoiceDial ok and the Outlook will handle multiple email accounts. Unlike Sunnysoft mail I have not figured out how to put my mail on the SD card. This ROM seems to be a bit of a user memory hog. I miss my MMS that I had with the generic flash.

It is possible to extract the image from the phone if you have the right
equipment etc.

Did you guys see the post in the Motorola Smartphone/WM 2003 Offer Forum regarding the availability of the WM 2003 image in German? Sean, what do your sources say...think it's legit??

ITS LEGIT I INSTALLED IT AND IT WORKS GREAT!!!!!!!!!you just have to tweek the regit to english.here the link http://www.msmobiles.com/f/viewtopic.php?t=7546 and here is the link to the rom http://www.msmobiles.com/news.php/2780.html .hope this helps

It's not app locked, unsigned software will flash up a warning so you
need to confirm that you want to run the selected app.
