Vista Repair Actually Works

I have bashed the Vista operating system from time to time and have to admit I use Windows XP Pro as my main OS. However, I installed Vista Home Premium on my youngest sons computer and it has kept him happy until a recent boot error occurred. I tired the usual F8 and "restore last known good whatever" to no avail. I really did not want to do a re-install and I was not feeling up to doing a restore from our Windows Home Server. A little Goggling found the site http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html on "How to Use Vista Repair". I followed the directions and ran Vista Repair from the install disk. Vista Repair found the problem and automatically repaired the installation. The system now boots and works great. I have to admit that the Vista Repair function is very slick and maybe Vista isn't all that bad after all - for my kid.
